Ernesto Bubod is an Igorot farmer leader from Sitio Maluyon, Brgy. Villarica, Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija. They are being displaced by the Lopez-controlled Energy Development Corp. (EDC) and California Energy (CalEn) to push with their watershed project around Pantabangan Lake. Out of 34 houses being displaced, only Bubod asserted to stay on his farm, thus, the EDC and the Philippine military colluded to arrest and charge him with illegal possession of firearms with the use of manufactured evidences.
